Ancient Mayan Crystal Skull of Destiny: Made by Aliens?

The Mitchell-Hedges skull is, in a certain sense, a technical impossibility. Weighing around 11 pounds, this near-perfect replica of a female skull sculpted in rock crystal has a finish that would have been impossible to achieve without relatively modern methods, according to scientists. These are methods that the Mayan culture is not known to have possessed.

According to some historical accounts, the “Skull of Destiny” was found in 1927 by the English explorer Fredrik A. Mitchell-Hedges among Mayan ruins in Lubaantun, Belize. However, some insist that the investigator instead bought the piece in a Sotheby’s auction in London in 1943.

Whatever the case, the rock crystal skull is cut and polished so perfectly, exhibiting the finest artistry and craftsmanship, that it is an invaluable work of art. However, to be certain of the first hypothesis (that the skull is Mayan in origin), we are faced with a series of important questions.

The skull exhibits an attention to detail that suggests it had a great importance—some insist that it even has healing powers. It was designed with a detachable jawbone, which was found several months after the cranium had been unearthed. But both sections are thought to have come from the same piece of quartz.

This skull has attracted specialists from various disciplines for many years. Due to the quality of the carving (far surpassing what many would expect for its age), some have even claimed that this specimen could be the work ancient esoteric groups with supernormal powers.

The skull was subject to various analyses. One of the unsolved mysteries arises from the material from which the skull is carved. Quartz crystal, known to possess a hardness rating of 7 on the Mohs scale—a scale of hardness of elements from 0 (talc) to 10 (diamond)—it is astonishing that this specimen could have been carved without modern tools employing hard substances such as ruby or diamond.

So what tools were used to carve this enigma? Studies of the skull made in the 1970s by Hewlett-Packard determined that the skull could not have been made with metal tools, as there are no microscopic scratches on its surface. Furthermore, they determined that it would have had to have been polished by sand erosion for a period of 300 years to reach such a high degree of flawless perfection.  

Could the Mayans have consciously planned a work of this sort, anticipating a wait of three centuries to see its completion? Such a feat would have required a concentration seen over several generations. Yet the Mitchell-Hedges skull is not the only one of its kind. Thirteen crystal skulls have been found throughout Mexico and South America, unearthed near ancient Mayan and Aztec sites.

Several similar skulls have even been found in different parts of the world, yet many are constructed of materials other than quartz. Even an entire skeleton of jade, on a scale slighter smaller than human, was found in Mongolia. It’s estimated to have been made around 2200 to 3500 B.C.

So who are responsible for these perfectly carved oddities? Is it the work of a technically advanced civilization whose tools and methods have yet to be discovered, or perhaps extraterrestrials? Of course, there are those who doubt the authenticity of many of these artifacts—but there is something that is undeniable: The phenomena of crystal skulls and other similar artifacts will continue to be a subject of interest for investigators.

Do Near Death Experiences Prove Souls Exist?

Can science show proof of a soul?

In the wee hours of the morning on July 28, 1976, the deadliest earthquake of the 20th century and the third greatest in recorded history shook Tangshan, China. Approximately one-fifth of the city perished in the calamity, and thousands were rescued from the arms of death.

A sociological survey was conducted among people who were brought back from a state of near-death to find out what they experienced at the most critical moments of their lives.

Surprisingly, many responded that on the threshold of death, they did not feel any pain or regret, but experienced a kind of excitement, as if they had been liberated from their physical bodies. Some said that they had seen a tunnel of light and some reported seeing other beings. 
It is likely that many people are familiar with these kinds of stories, known by experts as Near Death Experiences (NDEs).

The existence of NDEs raises a problem for contemporary understanding of the mind, as modern science holds that the mind is a product of neurochemical reactions, rather than an entity independent of the brain and at times able to separate from the physical body. The NDE phenomenon suggests that a human being not only has a body but also has a soul. Naturally, scientists have diverse opinions with regard to the existence of the soul as an individual entity.

One study that probed into this matter was performed by medical doctor Duncan MacDougall of Haverhill, Massachusetts, in 1907. MacDougall worked with six patients who were all in a critical condition. He weighed them at the moment just before death, and then immediately following their departure.

The results, published in contemporary medical journals, found that the patients lost an average of 21 grams (about 0.74 oz.) at the precise moment of death. Dr MacDougall reached the conclusion that this difference was the weight of the human soul, a curious fact made famous in the 2003 movie “21 Grams.”  

Nowadays this study is given little consideration, dismissed as nothing more than an anecdote in scientific circles, since detractors say that measurement errors caused by several factors could have occurred. Yet, so far no one has repeated the experiment either to confirm or refute it.

The “reductionist” is by nature skeptical of the existence of the possibility of an independent consciousness. Scientist Francis Crick—who shared the Nobel Prize with James Watson in 1962 for discovering the double-helix structure of DNA—is probably the most well-known contemporary representative for this viewpoint.

In one study carried out over several years, Professor Crick affirmed that: “our minds—the behavior of our brains—can be explained by the interactions of nerve cells (and other cells) and the molecules associated with them.”

However, some scientists argue that Professor Crick clings to an extreme viewpoint. “It is like saying that the cathedral is a pile of stones and glass. It is true, but too simplistic and it misses the point,” says Michael Reiss, professor at the University of London who is both a priest and a scientist.

The most complete study on NDEs to date was made by Pim van Lommel and a team of Dutch doctors on 344 patients from 10 hospitals. The patients had been resuscitated after cardiac arrest. The study, reported in Lancet in 2001, found that 62 of the patients (18 percent) had some recollection of a near-death experience, while 41 of these described experiencing a “deep” or “very deep” experience.

Half of those who reported having an NDE said they were aware of being dead, while 56 percent said they experienced positive emotions. Fifteen people (24 percent) reported having an out-of-body experience, while 31 percent experienced moving thorough a tunnel. Eighteen said they saw a “celestial landscape.” A third said they met with dead relatives, and eight said they saw their life reviewed.

“The concept thus far assumed, but never scientifically proven, that consciousness and memories are localized in the brain,” writes Professor Van Lommel in “About the Continuity of Our Consciousness”

“How could a clear consciousness outside one’s body be experienced at the moment that the brain no longer functions during a period of clinical death with flat EEG?” asks Van Lommel. “Furthermore, blind people have described (perceptions that agree with reality) during out-of-body experiences at the time of this experience.” Van Lommel says near-death experiences push the limits of medical understanding concerning the range of human consciousness and the mind-brain relationship.

While the subject will likely remain a contentious issue in scientific circles, further studies may be warranted to probe the eternal question:  Is there life after death?

Photos Reveal Evidence of INVISIBLE CREATURES: Sky Fish, Rods, Solar Entities

Wherever a camera may appear, the Rods may lay in silent wait. The jury’s out on whether they are the product of photographic illusion or genuine unidentified organic entities.

Fast, elusive, and virtually invisible. Beings that fly, in some cases even swim, and that surround us if only we could see—they are as ethereal as the air itself. Known as “Rods,” “Sky Fish” or “Solar Entities,” these photographic anomalies have been a mystery since the Mexican film director José Escamilla presumably discovered them in 1994.

While Escamilla was recording a documentary in Midway, New Mexico—just outside Roswell—he discovered what looked like strange life-forms appearing frequently throughout the film. They were off-white in color and oblong in shape, dashing through the picture and interfering with the artistic goal of the director.

Later, Escamilla employed a more detailed analysis—a specially developed filming protocol—to produce “smoking-gun” video evidence. Escamilla believes that the insects were a heretofore-unknown form of organic life, only perceptible through cameras.

Thus, the phenomenon of the Rod was born.

 

Around the World

With news of Escamilla’s finding, film aficionados around the world quickly set out to discover their own Rods in photographs and videos. The purported life-forms seemed to appear with regularity, in contrast to the majority of orbs (which are often dismissed as dust) or other pseudo-cryptoids that enthusiasts had been accustomed to. Rods were uniquely photogenic and filmed extensively, but not one of them could be seen with the naked eye.

New Mexico, Indiana, Connecticut, in the films of the Iraq War—when pictures were examined closely, every camera seemed to have discovered more and more of these strange creatures. Even during the filming of Mel Gibson’s “Braveheart,” it is said, the Rods seemed to have left their mark.

 

Rods, Quasi-Beings

As the years passed, the Rod phenomenon began to catch more attention from Ufologists as scientific skeptics showed an interest. As evidence of these specimens grew, a catalog of their anatomy, “physiology,” flying strategy, and countless other details became an obsession for hundreds of Rod investigators around the world.

Based on their proximity to other elements in the images, the creatures were found to be from a few inches to 3 feet in length. All possessed a fine membrane on both sides of the body that facilitated their travel through the air like a cuttlefish; and they all moved at apparently “supersonic” speeds, such that they could only be captured on certain grades of film, at velocities not visible to the human eye.

Some people even alleged to understand the secrets behind these miniature shooting stars, affording them supernatural powers, with origins from parallel universes. The History Channel added to rod lore earlier this year as the channel’s “Monster Quest” program labeled the phenomenon “creatures from the fourth dimension.”

As the Rod fervor continued, even Escamilla himself, once believing that the strange shapes were simply insects or birds, began to re-examine whether these creatures could really be something otherworldly.

 

Fall of the Rod, Rise of the Moth

Yet despite so much film of these flying creatures, much of the evidence was unable to prove that Rods were anything more than optical phenomena caused by the cameras themselves. Skeptics argued that the photos and videos were merely a product of optical illusions, and insisted that the phenomena failed to materialize any concrete proof of existence.

Some debunkers demonstrated how the rapid passing of large insects in front of cameras produced a union effect among two, three, or more trajectories of the same insect, giving the optical impression of a long body with various pairs of wings. In 2005, investigators in Jilin, China, unmasked numerous Rods they had monitored on a security camera, which turned out to be nothing more than run-of-the-mill moths.

However, not all of the evidence from the Rod phenomenon can be so easily explained. In fact, many cryptozoologists and Ufologists say that other footage that features rods taken from ultraviolet or infrared cameras can’t be so easily dismissed as being optical illusions or common insects.

As evidence continues to be collected and reviewed, many await the proof that will either legitimize the existence of these mysterious creatures or reveal a photographic fluke that made imaginations run wild.

BIZARRE Storms: Raining FROGS, SPIDERS, and FISH!

Since ancient times mankind has recorded several strange sightings of animals—frogs, fish, or insects—that fall from the skies.

In the emotionally charged 1999 P. T. Anderson movie, Magnolia, the characters witness an unusual event—the sky rains frogs. Perhaps referring to the biblical passage in which God casts down a rain of frogs on the Egyptians for their refusal to free the Israelites, the shower of frogs proves a bizarre, yet effective, plot device in a film that explores themes of forgiveness and redemption. "And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs," Exodus 8:1-15.

Since ancient times mankind has recorded several strange sightings of animals—frogs, fish, or insects—that fall from the skies. While many might consider this biblical legend to be merely mythical meteorology, this mysterious phenomenon was actually documented earlier this year by Argentine photographer, Christian Oneto Gaona

During a visit to Argentina's Salta province on April 6, 2007, Christian and his friends were hiking up San Bernardo peak when they discovered that the ground around them was covered with spiders. As they looked up they saw hundreds of spiders falling from the sky. Suddenly remembering that he had a camera, Christian snapped several shots of the falling arachnids. Although such occurrences have been noted for centuries, Christian's pictures represent the first documented evidence of this phenomenon.

A few years ago, strange rains of live frogs, fish, and many other animals were periodically reported throughout the country, but up to now nobody had the opportunity to photograph them. Because the past events happened so fast, and the rains were so heavy, photo documentation proved difficult to obtain. The conditions Christian experienced were different in that the spider rain occurred on a cloudless day, and involved a comparatively lighter subject, where the spiders fell slow enough to be captured on film.

 

Strange Rains in History

The majority of animal rains throughout history involve frogs. The first case recorded by the scientific community was in 1873 when Scientific American reported that Kansas City was covered with frogs after a storm. In July 1901, witnesses in Minneapolis recounted a similar story. After the storm, they discovered that four streets were covered almost three inches deep in frogs, making it impossible to walk.

The most recent case was on July 26, 2005, when a newspaper in Belgrade reported that millions of frogs fell in Odzaci, a northeast village of Serbia. After a strong wind, the sky was covered in clouds—as before any storm—but what fell was not water.  Instead, a countless number of frogs not indigenous to that area fell across the entire village.

"I don't know where the cloud came from, it had a strange color and shape," said villager, Caja Jovanovic. "Just as I was looking at it, frogs started to fall. I thought that a plane carrying a cargo of frogs had exploded."

In May 1981, residents of Naphlion, Greece woke up to a shower of small green frogs. The local weather service explained that frogs had merely been lifted by strong winds. They must have been quite severe since that type of frog is only found in North Africa!

Rains of Fish

Aside from frogs, the most common animal rain involves fish—a frequent occurrence in both India and Australia. A study done by Australian zoologist Gilbert Whitley found that in 1972 it rained fish some 50 times.

The Honduran province of Yoro has a history of raining fish going back so far that it has become part of the culture of this region. Each year between May and July, witnesses see what starts out like a normal storm—black clouds, thunder, lightning, and hard rain— but when the rain stops, the ground is covered with live fish that the villagers cook and eat. Since 1998, the Yoro people have held an annual "Rain of the Fish" festival to mark this miraculous occurrence. On July 16, 2006, Honduran television gave a special report on this phenomenon since it now rains fish there up to two times per year.

In 1970, National Geographic sent specialists to Honduras to investigate this curious weather. They found that the falling fish were all the same size—less than 6 inches— and were all blind. Researchers identified the species, but could not find a record of it in the surrounding region. Finally, they proposed that these fish must have lived underground, and were blind due to never having been exposed to light. Even so, actual proof of this theory has yet to materialize.

Scientific Explanation

When science does acknowledge this occurrence, the explanation often centers on a storm or hurricane lifting creatures out of the water and through the air where they finally fall in remote areas. However, this does not explain how such a powerful storm could be discriminating enough to select only animals of the same species, and careful enough not to touch surrounding plant life. Tornadoes and hurricanes are known to scatter and destroy everything in its wake.  Evidence of their presence differs quite a bit from the vast majority of animal rains concentrated in relatively small areas.

Another problem with this theory is that the animals that fall are alive—suggesting that little time has passed between the moment the storm collected them and when they fell.  How does this happen when there are no known bodies of water nearby? There are even occasions, like with the Salta spiders, in which the animals appear on clear days, without wind or precipitation.

So why do these animal rains occur? There have been several theories, but nothing has yet been suitably explained or proven. It appears that Mother Nature still holds some mysteries in this modern age.

270-Million-Year-Old Stone Has Words: ‘Chinese Communist Party Perishes’

In June 2002, a 270 million-year-old “hidden words stone” was discovered in Guizhou, China. A crack that formed 500 years ago in a large stone revealed six clearly discernible Chinese characters; the characters clearly spell “The Chinese Communist Party perishes [Zhōngguó gòngchǎndǎng wáng 中國共產党亡].” The character “perish” [wáng 亡] is especially large.

The official media in Mainland China have all reported this news, but they have hidden the word “perish” and only mention the words “The Chinese Communist Party.” However, the word “perish” can be clearly seen in photos posted on the People’s Daily Online and state-run media Xinhua.net.

Pingtang is a high mountain valley in Guizhou Province in southwestern China. Zhangbu Village is a scenic spot spanning over 6 kilometers (3.73 miles). The area is isolated and has remained relatively untouched by humans. In June 2002, the Duyun international photography exposition recommended this area as a scenic spot for taking photographs. During a routine cleaning of the area, this “hidden words stone” was discovered.

The “hidden words stone” was split in half after it fell from a cliff, and the gap is wide enough for two people to walk through side-by-side. The two sections are each 23 feet in length, nearly 10 feet tall, and weigh about 100 tons. The words “The Chinese Communist Party perishes” can be clearly seen on one of the sections, and every character is nearly a square foot in size.

Li Ting-Dong and Liu Bao-Jun of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Li Feng-Lin of the China University of Geosciences were part of a team of 15 researchers who analyzed the stone. They concluded that the characters were not engraved, refuting theories that modern people wrote them to gain attention or bring tourism to the area. They displayed all the geological signs of natural formation. Given the clarity of the characters, many have found it difficult to believe that they were naturally formed—hence the mystery. 

They concluded that the characters were not engraved by human hands.

After going to the site in October 2003, the vice-editor of the People’s Daily, Liang Heng wrote: “People may often discover that white clouds may appear to look like dogs, or something looks like a person or a beast, a picture or a chart, however, all such things are restricted by the appearance of the picture. If today a megalith suddenly can write, speak, carve, develop writing technique, or use political terminology, how are people able to believe that? Do they even dare to believe that? However, facing these two pieces of the split ‘hidden words stone,’ we have no alternative but to believe.”

Experts estimate the “hidden words stone” is some 270 million years old, dating from the Permian period. It fell from a high mountain cliff by the Zhangbu river valley. On the steep mountain cliff, one can see a corresponding dent where the rock must have been before it fell to its current position. It split in two upon impact, and the large characters of “The Chinese Communist Party perishes” were revealed.

During the investigation, People’s Daily, CCTV, Guangming Daily, Technical Daily, Travel Satellite, China International Broadcasting station, and 20 other media reporters including People’s Daily.net, Sina.net, Eastern Net, Sohu.net, Yahoo, and New China all reported on the finding. More than 100 other newspapers, television stations, and websites have retransmitted the news about the scientific investigation.

Even though no one dares to mention the sixth character, “perishes,” everyone who sees it understands its meaning.

The MYSTERIOUS Great Pyramids of China!

Why have the Chinese pyramids remained such a secret?

The virtually unknown Chinese pyramids are historic monuments that now struggle against the ravages of time and the elements. The elaborate walls of one grand structure were accidentally discovered by U.S. pilot James Gaussman towards the end of the Second World War.  His engine failed when returning from a mission to aid the Chinese army en route to his base in Assam, India. Flying over Xi’an at a low altitude, Gaussman was astonished at the site of an enormous pyramid in the distance. The pilot did not waste this precious opportunity, and flew over, taking the photographs that would later accompany a report presented to U.S governmental authorities.

In 1947, another U.S. pilot, keen to the legend of Gaussman’s mysterious “Great White” Chinese pyramid, flew close enough to the structure to catch a glimpse for himself. He estimated the ancient wonder to stand nearly 1500 ft high—in comparison to Egypt’s great pyramid of Giza which stands a mere 480 ft. from base to vertex.

Yet this miraculous pyramid remained a closely guarded secret, kept hidden from the prying eyes of an international investigation by Chinese authorities. In spite of such restrictions, German investigator Hartwig Hausdorf attempted to film and photograph the massive ancient structure. While Hausdorf managed to avoid the Chinese military that carefully patrolled the airspace above the Xi’an desert, he was never able to find the grand pyramid Gaussman photographed. Still, Hausdorf’s 1994 book, “The White Pyramid,” detailing his findings of the other structures found in the area, and ushered in a great interest for these ancient treasures.

Uncovering the Secret

In 2000, China recognized that there were some 400 pyramids in the Shanxi region, to the north of Xi’an. Smaller than the legendary “Great White” pyramid, these ancient remains have been classified by some as burial mounds.  While some of these structures do in fact serve as tombs, others suggest the earliest Chinese pyramids served a more mysterious purpose.  Hausdorf even asserts that these structures have an extra-terrestrial origin.

Just how old are they? While many can be dated to various dynasties, others are believed to be older. Analyzing an aerial photograph of one set of pyramids east of Xi’an, ancient civilization researcher and author Graham Hancock determined that their layout coincided with the constellation of Gemini.  However, computer analysis found that it is what Gemini would have looked like on the spring equinox in 10,500 BC.

The majority of the later pyramids belonging to the Eastern Xia Dynasty (1032-1227) are in a state of extreme disrepair—many display deep cracks, and are in danger of crumbling completely.

“The whole set of burial sites of nobles run the risk of disappearing”, confessed the subdirector of the administration office of the tombs, Dai Wenzhen in an article by China’s state-run Xinhua News Agency.

According to Dai, the majority of the Xia dynasty tombs, located in the Ningxia region, would pose similar problems, and some could even be catalogued as “ruins.”  According to Xinhua, $1.25 million was put up for restoration of the tombs, but it was only enough to keep further erosion at bay.

While the 207 tombs and nine mausoleums in Ningxia have barely endured the ravages of time, the virtually unknown pyramids in Shanxi are more stable and impressive. By some estimates, the majority of these 400 structures in Shanxi were constructed during the dynasty of tyrannical emperor Qin Shihuang (259-210 BC), to shelter the remains of his imperial court; he intended them to be near his tomb at their final slumber.

 

The Mystery of the Qin Shihuang Pyramid

Emperor Qin Shihuang is known for his obsessive search for the secret to immortality. His fever for attaining glory lead him to create one of the most intriguing and covetous marvels on the planet: the imposing “Terracotta Army”—a nearly mile long stretch of soldiers and horses representing his grand guard. The attention to detail is so exquisite that no two figures are the same; prompting some to believe that each figure was cast to represent an actual person from that time. The relics of this despotic monarch have captured the world’s attention since they were first uncovered in 1978.  Yet, the treasures hidden within his mortuary pyramid remain conjecture.

According to ancient Chinese documents—the same texts that helped archeologists reveal the terracotta soldiers—Emperor Qin tried to outfit his subterranean pyramid with an exact replica of the Chinese territory. The texts explain that the interior giant vault of the chamber is embroidered with copper and marked with jewel encrusted accents, simulating the stars of the firmament. It also boasts of an artificial replica of the rivers of China, flowing with mercury. Scientific expeditions, in fact, confirm that the earth covering the surface of the pyramid had considerable concentrations of this liquid metal.

Currently the pyramid of the Qin emperor is nearly 250 ft. high, but it is estimated that when constructed 2,200 years ago it reached about 380 ft. The width of the base from east to west is about 1130 ft., and its south to north length is almost 1150 ft. Emperor Qin took great care in making access to his final dwelling difficult—covering the pyramid with soil and vegetation, and blocking all possible access to the main chamber—and no investigation has yet uncovered the infinite archeological treasures that could be hidden within this enormous edifice.

While some smaller pyramids are now attached to museums open to the public, much of China’s pyramid areas are forbidden. There is still very little we know about these marvels—the mysterious legacy of an ancient culture.

The Earthquake Neutralizer: The STRANGE INVENTIONS of Pier L. Ighina

Seismic technologies, environmental purifiers, and even the ability to change an organism’s molecular structure.

The world of Pier Luigi Ighina is of a science never before propagated, in which reality and mysticism seem to join in a way that is both charming and unnerving.

It is impossible to speak about this unusual inventor and thinker without naming his teacher and colleague, the celebrated Guglielmo Marconi—most well known for developing radio but also responsible for many other curious innovations. Ighina worked with Marconi until his death in 1937, and later carried on his teacher’s efforts through the secrets he shared with him.

While Ighina never invented anything as well known as the radio, his talent brought forth machines with perhaps even more astounding abilities that few would imagine, much less believe were possible.

As a student of magnetic fields, Ighina developed a great number of inventions throughout his life based on atomic vibrations. He also worked with the interaction of fields between the earth and sun, harnessing this energy to regenerate diseased cells.

Ighina’s numerous inventions include a bed of passive resonance, an earthquake neutralizer, and a strange device he dubbed “Elios,” which is said to purify any food matter that comes within its small field of action.

The Cloud-Buster

But perhaps none of these strange inventions brought as much pleasure to Ighina as the magnetic stroboscope. He was delighted in its capacity to surprise and amaze curious onlookers on cloudy days.

In 1998, internationally renowned journalist Maurizio Costanzo went to interview Ighina and witnessed a strange propeller spinning above his humble dwelling in Imola, Italy.  Costanzo describes how a hole in the clouds steadily opened and grew as the minutes passed. Later, Ighina admitted that the most satisfying component of his unusual invention was the innocent smiles of children as they watched the clouds retire, as if by magic.

The magnetic stroboscope—which can be compared to Wilhelm Reich’s Cloudbuster—could certainly deliver a magnificent performance. And yet the landmark of Ighina’s work would have to be his discovery of something never before considered by science—a small, elusive, yet fundamental particle he named “the atomic magnet.”

 

From Apricots to Apples

In over 40 years of study, Ighina put his all into the task of classifying the particle vibrations that had been discovered in each atom found in nature. While observing the level of light absorption of these minuscule particles, Ighina became convinced that scientists had made a mistake in conceiving the fundamental structure of atoms. He maintained that it was impossible to study a particle in perpetual motion without creating a false image.

Owing to this, Ighina devised a mechanism that isolated each atom, consisting of walls of different atoms with decreasing rates of light absorption. It was during these investigations (for which he employed a microscope of his own design capable of magnification of up to 1.6 billion times) that Ighina discovered the magnetic atom—an extremely energetic particle present in all organic matter.

After years of arduous lab work, Ighina discovered the most profound nature of matter—that atoms do not oscillate but vibrate. This revelation led to one of his more curious and brilliant inventions—the magnetic field oscillator. What followed was a series of fantastic experiments in which the field oscillator played a leading role. On one occasion, Ighina set up his apparatus before an apricot tree. He then altered the atomic vibration so that it gradually became the same as that of an apple tree. (He had previously studied the indices of this vibration.) After 16 days, he ascertained that the apricots had mutated, almost completely, into apples.

After this experience, Ighina ventured to investigate the reach of his invention on animals. He altered the vibrational state of the tail of a rat to change it, in four days, into the tail of a cat.

Even though the rat died after such treatment (perhaps its body was incapable of enduring such a rapid molecular change), it prompted Ighina to try an experiment even more revelatory: Through studying the corresponding vibration of the healthy bone of a rabbit, he excited the atoms of another rabbit’s fractured feet until they were healed in record time.

In this way, Ighina understood that sick cells (including cancerous ones) of any individual were possible to cure through a simple, gradual alternation in their vibrational index, if this was correctly calculated.

In short, Ighina had designed a machine that performed marvels. However, in spite of his long list of inventions and mythical anecdotes, Ighina was never recognized as an orthodox scientist by the academic community. Rather, he was either ignored or ridiculed for his daring work.

But some of his colleagues did recognize his genius. “The fact that it is not believed takes place because there are not the necessary tools to understand how it happens,” stated nuclear scientist Guiliano Preparata, defending Ighina’s work.

While Ighina’s work was not given its due by the scientific community at large, he was recognized by a few fellow scientists as a revolutionary pioneer and a great contributor to Italian heritage. Today, not only have foundations, streets, and conferences been founded in his name but following his death, Ighina’s oeuvre has helped to awaken even greater interest in his fascinating work.

Ighina left this world on Jan. 8, 2004, taking with him an important yet misunderstood legacy in which science meets magic. However, he leaves behind a wealth of mysterious ideas and incomprehensible artifacts that certainly inspire further study.

Former NASA Astronaut: UFO's Are Real!

A veteran of the Apollo 14 mission has said that UFOs visit earth and have made contact with mankind. 

Dr. Edgar Mitchell, who in 1971 became the sixth man to walk on the moon, told British radio station Kerrang! on Thursday, July 24 that, “We have been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomenon is real, though it has been covered up by our governments for a very long time.”

“There’s more nonsense out there about [UFO's] than there is real knowledge, but it is a real phenomenon—it has been well covered up by all of our governments for the last 60 years or so but slowly it has leaked out—and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.” 

In the interview, Dr. Mitchell referred to the infamous Roswell incident of 1947 where it is believed by some that the U.S. Government covered up the crash and subsequent salvage of an alien craft.

“I have been deeply involved in certain committees and certain research programmes with very credible scientists and intelligence people that do know the real inside story and I am not hesitant to talk about it,” he said.  

“There is quite a bit of contact going on—I can’t tell you because I don’t know all the extent of it, I don’t know all the inside details because that isn’t really my main interest—but we do know we have been visited, that the Roswell crash was real, and a number of other contacts have been real and ongoing…” 

The main incidents, he said, have been taking place since World War Two. 

Dr Mitchell said that public awareness of it is increasing and that there are fewer efforts by governments to cover up incidents or create misinformation.

“I think we are heading towards a major disclosure on this and serious organisations are heading in that direction,” he said.

He stated that well over 70 percent of the U.S. public believed as fact the visitation to earth by UFOs and that people on the inside who know of this information now feel less threatened in speaking out about what they know.  

And what do these extraterrestrials look like?

“You have seen some of the pictures—well, the pictures that I know of, some of them are these little people that look strange to us … from what I know from my contacts who have had contact that is pretty accurate,” he said.

Dr Mitchell is not the only former astronaut to come forward about UFOs.

Colonel Gordon Cooper, an astronaut in Project Mercury—the first U.S. manned-space effort, is on record saying he witnessed a formation of metallic saucer-shaped UFOs at high altitude over central Europe in 1951.

Seven years later Colonel Cooper had another experience when he oversaw the processing of film footage taken of a UFO saucer which landed on a dry lake bed in California. He said footage was sent to Washington and nothing of it was heard of again.

According to The Independent, Colonel Cooper gave testimony at a U.N. hearing on UFOs in 1978.
